Italian cuisine has been the heartbeat of the Niagara Falls area for many generations. As Italian families arrived on Ellis Island, they began looking for work and living arrangements across the U.S. and Canada, with many people landing here in Niagara Falls, New York, to settle into jobs in the hydropower plants around the area.

Families put down their roots figuratively and literally here. The climate and growing conditions of our area were ideal to grow and obtain the fruits and vegetables similar to what they knew before crossing the Atlantic Ocean. In fact, agriculture is the largest industry here ahead of tourism. Our Italian cuisine truly represents the perfect intersection of both agriculture and tourism — and we can’t wait to share it with you. Here are six of our favorite places to start. Mangia! Mangia!
